About Lindsey FranksI am an Ohio born abstract impressionistic painter turned Georgia Peach operating just outside of the Atlanta area where I live with my husband two sweet babies. My studio is based out of my home, which is perfect for squeezing in painting sessions between nap times.
I am best known for my abstract landscapes but I enjoy experimenting with new mediums and materials, always gravitating towards colors and themes found organically in nature. When creating, my goal is to deliver a one of a kind piece that reflects the peace, joy and a sense of fulfillment I receive from painting all while bringing a little extra beauty and uniqueness to my collectors' home. Creativity has always been a large part of my life, as early as the 4th grade when a drawing of mine was selected for exhibit in the Pumphouse Center for Arts in my hometown of Chillicothe, Ohio. From then on, while others were watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, I could be found paint brush in hand taking lessons from a local known artist at her home gallery. I officially began my professional creative journey in 2019 as a way to meditate and divert the anxiety surrounding a five year battle of trying to start our family. This included surgeries, medications and ultimately lead to IVF and our beautiful daughter. In 2021, I made the decision to leave my professional career in higher education to pursue my dream of being a full time artist and mother. My days now look much different, balancing the life of being a full-time mom, chasing a toddler and painting during her nap times. Did I mention we just added another one to the mix? My life is at times a mess, but also full of chaos and creativity. I just love it. |
